As a 60+ woman I am in a job that I consider it the best work of my career. I have Jane MacAdam to thank for my confidence which enabled me to succeed. I thought I was too old, past it, wasting my time looking for a job at this age. I am now driving to work one hour drive each way and have never been happier in any job.
If you are looking for work and finding it difficult, then let me put a recommendation in for Meath Job Club. They helped me create my first ever CV (at 50 lol), pointed me in the direction I needed to get back on track, put me in touch with the right people and businesses to get moving and networking. Nothing was too much for them, and their wealth of knowledge is just amazing. Thank you.
I would highly recommend anyone struggling to find a job and maybe need some help with CV, to get in touch with Meath Job Club. I am so grateful for all the support and kindness I have received from the ladies working there. They are so knowledgeable and eager to help people, I couldn’t recommend them enough!
Roisin took my CV and revamped it from a clapped out old banger to a Ferrari. She showed me how to present myself and my work experience in an interview using the STAR format. She also taught me how to use LinkedIn the way it was meant to be used and what employers are looking for and how I should highlight similar roles that I had done. She gave me the tools to help me find a job in a market that has been crippled by a pandemic and would not let me just take any old job, it had to be in my field. It is with Roisin’s help and perseverance that I managed to secure a position with Mylan through Morgan McKinley. And I just have to say how grateful I am to Roisin for being absolutely fantastic at her job.
I have been sent to the Job Club by my case officer, but didn’t have expectations that anything would come out of it. I just thought it would have been one of those soulless talks with dry delivery by a person that doesn’t really care about it, and is there just for the paycheck. However I couldn’t have been more wrong, the ladies there Jane, and Ger are doing the most honest work. They really try to understand and relate to you as a human being and your situation. The Job Club helped me reflect on my current situation with more sober and objective look, stripped down from lots of beliefs/expectations that are ingrained into us from very early on. Don’t hesitate, and assume this will be another pointless venture. If you got referred, definitely treat this like a good opportunity. Can’t recommend it enough.
If Roisin didn’t encourage me to think outside the box and see the strength in my past work experience, I would have never secured my dream job. I became a client of Roisin’s when I was a Job Seeker and I has difficulty securing a job position. Roisin used her high level of intuition to help me manage my thoughts and re-network how I approached the working world. She helped me to construct a CV that was eye catching to employers and helped me to master competency-based questions in interviews. Roisin gave me the confidence to see employers as equals and engage with them to how what I had to offer. Also, she has an extensive knowledge of how to network and she taught me how I could search for jobs that I was interested in. I am so glad I had the chance to work with Roisin because the skills she taught me will stay with me for years to come.
Roisin took the time to understand what was going on for me when I felt confused tired and stuck. Her perspective, experience and presence helped me to focus clearly on my next steps with renewed vigor. She’s damn good at her job! What she does and who she is, truly matters and has an incredible impact on the people she supports. Thank you Roisin.
